Daddy’s Coming Home

I recently had the honor of documenting a military homecoming at Point Mugu Naval Base. What a wonderful experience to see hundreds of personnel reunited with their families! I got to hang out with the mom and three kids, and see/feel/document their emotions when daddy came home.

(Technical data below.)

Two Nikon F100 cameras, 24-70 f/2.8 lens, 50mm f/1.4 lens, 70-200 lens. Kodak Portra 400 film.

  1. Awww. These are so great! I just photographed a military homecoming this week and can’t wait to get the film back. I shot all b&w but kinda wish I had shot color after seeing these beautiful shots! Wonderful story. 🙂

  2. Thanks! I look forward to seeing yours! Black and white is definitely a viable option for this sort of shoot.
