Around the House

Had an urge to shoot a roll, and force myself to find things around the house and yard to shoot. Everything shot with my Mamiya 645AF medium format camera, and the film was the new Kodak Portra 400. 80mm f/2.8 and 150mm f/3.5 lenses used, sometimes with a close up lens attachment. I scanned it myself since I didn’t want to pay for my lab to do it. 🙂

  1. These are great! Keep it coming. I’m just starting to experiment with the Portra 400. The cat looks so pensive LOL How do you like that Mamiya kit? Do you use the autofocus?

  2. Thanks, Wendy! I’m big into the Portra 400 as you know. As for Mamiya…I like it but I’ve never used a Contax or other full-auto 645 system. The auto-focus is something I only use when I’m not in a hurry. 🙂 It’s accurate, but slow and likes to hunt around in dim light or back-lit situations. I use 35mm for fast-changing situations, and reserve the Mamiya for portraits, detail shots etc.
