L & J

Here’s a wedding I shot a few months ago.

I’ve known these two for…15 years? I met the groom in the mid nineties back in my music-business days, and met his girlfriend shortly thereafter. He runs a music label, makes electronic dance music and plays the drums (hence the drum-shaped wedding cake below). She runs a music promotion company. They’ve been together forever (it seems), so I was extremely excited to hear they were finally getting married! They asked me to shoot their wedding, and how could I refuse? They asked me to keep their names off the blog, but were quite happy to let me put the images up. So they’ll just have to be a mystery couple. These were shot at a rented beach house in Oxnard, California.

Some Holga black and white shots…

Details, details…

And a few candids…

  1. Thanks for your kind words, Tina! Right now I think it’s better to direct my effort and skill at making portraits. Perhaps one day…

  2. The “I still don’t do weddings” title caught my eye. I had to click. I have a buddy that shoots 15 weddings or so a year and he’s constantly saying the same thing. Anyway, it made me laugh and the pic was a fun shot. Thanks for sharing.

  3. You don’t do weddings but that is great photo. Great work! You can get more out of a wedding shoot by offering the couple output other than prints such as a print canvas or photo book. Keep up the great work!
